Gene Stevens

Bringing Toronto’s All Time Favourites to listeners of The New AM 740, Director of Programming and Operations Gene Stevens is a broadcast veteran with over three decades in radio programming and management. Prior to his tenure with AM 740, Gene was the first programme director for Toronto’s EZ Rock 97.3.

He has been on-air as a show host, served as music director, promotion director, operations manager, programme director, and general manager at various stations including CHUM, Maclean Hunter, Telemedia, and Standard programming formats ranging from adult contemporary to country, oldies and pop standards. Gene is now the on-air host of Vintage Favorites (Sunday at 2pm) and Midnight Blue (weekdays at midnight).

Outside of the radio station, Gene is a music collector and has often lectured to university groups on the subject of pop music and culture. He has traveled the America’s and Europe, and loves history and film.
