Like a weekend complement to Brian Peroff’s show Friday Night Bandstand, Bill Gable celebrates the best rock’n soul from the 50s and 60s every Saturday evening with The Heart and Soul of Rock’n'Roll. Unlike other oldies shows, this one features Chuck, Buddy, Fats and Elvis, alongside Brother Ray Charles, Sam Cooke, Otis Redding, Aretha Franklin, and all the Motown legends too — from the Beatles and Beach Boys to the Tops, Temptations and Supremes.

Could you please “Charlena” by the Sevilles.
It has a real East Los Angeles sound.
Thanks in advance.
73s,
Dave
We are deep here in the southern United States, Georgia to be exact, only a few kilometers from Atlanta, but we are picking up the show tonight on a Sony ICF-38. Thanks for the great music! 73, Don (N4TIO)
Would like to hear Gotta Hold On To This Feeling by Jr. Walker & All Stars Sat. evening Nov. 13 after 9 pm in central time zone. Enjoy hearing These Eyes, do you have other songs by Jr. Walker. Don’t have e-mail. Listen in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Station comes in better after 8 pm. Thanks.
Greetings to AM 740 Toronto and espically to Bill Gable,
I have a good story for you. This past Saturday Night we had a horrific
Storm with lots of rain and high winds pass through Northern New Jersey.
I lost power around 5:00 in the afternoon and I subsequently had to
spend the night in the dark,(didn’t get the power back on unitl two
days later). While tuning in my battery-powered portable radio I picked
up your signal pretty good. Much enjoyed the mix of Motown and Chuck
Berry, and all of the rest. Definatly not of the annoying “Top Ten”
limited playlist of “Oldies” that is commerical radio in the States.
Listined to some stuff that perhaps I never heard before. Cool. Kind of
neat to listen to old rock’in roll on AM Radio. That’s how it was
originaly broadcast back in the day. Good music on a lousy night. I live
in a town called Ridgewood, New Jersey,(about 20 miles fron New York
City), And your siginal comes in good at night. Now I have a new station
to listen to. Thanks Again.
