THE MUSICAL RESEARCH IS THOROUGH AND HITS THE MARK EVERY SUNDAY! AWESOME WORK LARRY!
Your Remembrance Day show was stunning. Thank you. I don’t need “Waltzing Matilda” to remind me of the futility of war. My son was injured in Afghanistan in 1995 and has suffered mentally and physically ever since. He joined the army as a very vital young man now only has the prospect of spending the rest of his life suffering from the pain that interferes with every aspect of his day. (And I might add, without getting satisfaction in his care from the Canadian Army) Any readings, music or bagpipe laments on Remembrance Day imbue me with such an incredible sadness for my son and for the other soldiers who are suffering. I have to remind myself though that I still have my son. For the others who don’t we cry on Remembrance Day.
Thanks for the celebrity spotlight on Cher recently. I’ve been a huge fan since 1973. I wish her early 70’s hits got more radio airplay. Stephen Harris (Oshawa).
I listened to the show about Sir George Martin. There was quality preperation, and great care put in this show. Too bad there are no AM radio stations in the US like AM 740. I always enjoy the quality programming. Thanks for the good times!
Vern
PS Larry, did you do a show about Phil Spector? If you did, could I pay for a copy? Thanks again, Vern 3v@taconic.net
