WHAT
This election, politicians are wooing “the senior vote” realizing that 75% of Canadians 65plus vote regularly in federal elections, more than any other demographic. Long before the election was called, CARP – Canada’s largest association for older Canadians with approximately 350,000 members nationwide – raised awareness for the issues of greatest importance to this population including financial security, pension and healthcare reform and caregivers’ rights. Now, these topics are front and centre in the news.
Representatives from the major political parties will share and debate their positions on these issues in a CARP DEBATE that will influence Canadians – especially seniors – in their voting decisions.
