Pirate Radio is BOGUS, says Keith Hampshire who served on-board as a dee-jay aboard ‘Radio Caroline’, the private radio station on a ship England’s North Sea, serving Rock’n'Roll music to Britain’s youth in the 1960s.

Later becoming a major Canadian star with hits like ‘First Cut is the Deepest’, ‘Daytime, Nightime’, ‘Big Time Operator’ and the classic Toronto anthem ‘OK Blue Jays’, Hampshire was onboard ‘Radio Caroline’ from 1966 to 1967, the subject of a new movie called ‘Pirate Radio’ (originally titled ‘The Boat That Rocked’).

Somebody just had an idea of what they thought it might be like and went ahead, wrote a script and sold it to somebody…and they made a movie that was completely bogus
