Leona Aglukkaq on Alzheimer’s Disease
Friday, January 28th, 2011The Honourable Leona Aglukkaq, Minister of Health, will be on Friday’s edition of Goldhawk Fights back to make an important announcement regarding research on Alzheimer’s disease.
Douglas Desmond, Barrister & Solicitor, will also be on the show to discuss wind turbines and the court action against Chatham-Kent wind farms.
This is the 2nd court case. Even though the Renewable Energy Approval (REA) is under appeal, the construction of this industrial wind project is allowed to continue.
In response, Chatham-Kent Wind Energy Inc. and Ms. Katie Erickson, a non-participating resident within the project, have retained the legal counsel of Eric K. Gillespie Professional Corporation.
The appeal is based chiefly on the issue of serious harm to human health from both noise and low-frequency sound. The appeal raises numerous issues including the MOE’s apparently admitted inability to predict, measure, or assess noise levels; the lack of regulations for low-frequency sound; and the seemingly double standard that permits wind turbines to be sited closer to project participants than non-participants.
The hearing of evidence in this appeal will commence on Tues, Feb 1,2011 at 10:00 am in the Council Chambers, Municipality of Chatham Kent, Chatham Ontario.
