Dear Dale – I enjoy listening to your program on Zoomer radio and congrats to all on the great work you’re doing to make our planet a better place!
About the elephants … if one is fortunate enough to travel to Africa, it is very difficult afterwards to visit a zoo. Some animals can do well in zoos under perfect conditions and others not. Like the lady who phoned in from Toronto, I am not in favour of taking animals out of their natural habitats and putting them on display for a paying public. Much better to appreciate them in their freedom.
I didn’t stay tuned long enough to hear what the CEO of the Toronto Zoo had to say. Of course, he would be biased. It breaks my heart to hear how elephants are being treated. Let’s hope it will all get better for them and others in captivity.

Up with animals!
