The Coronavirus has deprived us of so many things we used to enjoy – especially in the spring and summer. Sports and festivals, graduations and weddings, road trips and visits, and of course – not meaning to be insensitive – its also sadly deprived some people of their health and their loved ones. This has been one tough year so far! In my own little way I’ve tried to help with special themed shows prompted by our times – like ‘Songs of Solace, Survival and Inspiration’ and our recent ‘Fantasy Road Trip‘. Now, I’ve got another such show.
This one might help us – especially if you miss live music. Summer music festivals, concerts-in-the-park, late-night bar bands – the whole gamut of live music – I miss these things, and maybe you do too. So why don’t we go to ‘Fantasy Park‘ ? It’s a make-believe music festival featuring some of the all-time greats in live performances. We’ve even extended the usual Sunday afternoon hours of ‘Vintage Favourites’ by adding an extra hour at the front. So, instead of the usual 2pm. start, ‘Vintage Favourites – Fantasy Park‘ will start at 1pm. this Sunday (June 28th) … and for the following two Sundays.
This Sunday (June 28th) the concert line-up features: The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Eagles, and Elton John, plus Neil Diamond, Leonard Cohen, Michael Buble; a rockin’ set by Ronnie Hawkins, Jerry Lee Lewis, Chuck Berry and Little Richard, plus special appearances by James Brown and Bruce Springsteen – and a surprise opening act at 1 o’clock. Like I said, it’s a great line-up of superstars … in live performances … this Sunday from 1:00 to 4:30 at ‘Fantasy Park‘ on Zoomer Radio.
