Hi there and thanks for visiting my blog! This is rather new to me so hopefully, you won’t fall asleep while reading this. Let me start first with a brief introduction on who Eva D is, basically, the radio business has consumed a good part of my life. Back in 1981, I started my first radio job at CKO All News Network. I began as a receptionist, after all, I had no radio experience, what were the odds of me getting on air??? Well, as it turns out, pretty darn good! The stations traffic reporter was sick one day and they were in a jam, soooo, what the heck, let’s give Eva a shot and have her say a few words on air….. the rest as they say is history!
I had a lot of fun at CKO, moving from traffic and weather reporter to morning show co-host working with Erin Davis and many other great announcers. My stay lasted 6 years until I was offered a job at CBC/CBLT Television, anchoring the weather and entertainment reports ( veteran weather man Bill Lawrence taught me so much). In 1989, I moved to daytime television where I hosted a dating show called Dateline on CHCH TV Hamilton ( a lot of zany fun) and eventually got back into radio including country radio, where I hosted a cross Canada Country show called “Cryin Lovin’ or Leavin”…(talk about your achy, breaky heart)
Eventually, I ended up at AM 740…I truly love our music…my co workers…I even like my boss! (what a concept)
Nice to know I’m at a stage now where I can truly say I’m blessed in so many ways…including my family life, a wonderful husband and our little treasure, our 10 year old son. My late father, a very wise caring man, taught me, above all, to be grateful – and that I am!!!!
Stay well, we’ll talk soon
Eva

Bravo!
