Here’s just a little BIO on your sportspal as we begin a new foray into blogging here at AM 740. I promise I won’t let it get to my head. I’m a 2-time Canadian sportscaster of the year, and former host of “Gallagher” ,one of Canada’s # 1 talk show’s in 1998-98 on TSN. How about a 14 year veteran of Toronto’s award winning CITYTV sports department, along with a 9-year stint as co-host of the Q morning zoo at Toronto’s best rock Q107 and regular fill in on Canada’s # 1 morning show, Roger, Rick and Marilyn on 104.5 CHUM FM as well as the FAN 590, The Team, 102.5 The Edge, and CFRB. I was born in Montreal, and began my career in broadcasting in as a Sports Anchor for CBC’s television affiliate in New Brunswick . Then 1981 I he moved to Sports Director at CJCH/C100-FM radio in Halifax. In 1986, it was off to Toronto to become the Sports Director at Q107/AM640. It was fun overlapping morning’s on Q AND doing the 11:00 Citypulse tonight for several years. Well, sleeping was a challenge but the money was good. TSN came calling in 1998 with a chance to host “Gallagher” for two years, then back to sports at CITYTV and then eventually here at AM 740 and Classical 96.3 fm. Here’s a list of other stuff:

I enjoy all sports–except for ballroom squatting. My CD and DVD collection numbers in the thousands. And my motto remains “Remember now, if you can’t PLAY a sport please, please, please for the love of God, BE one” .
