PREMIER MEETS WITH CABINET TO CONSIDER LIMITS TO SOCIAL GATHERINGS

The Premier is meeting with his cabinet Wednesday afternoon to consider limiting gatherings in the COVID hot spot areas Toronto, Peel and Ottawa.

“We’ll have a good wholesome discussion and I also never make a move on anything unless I consult with the Chief Medical Officer of that region and the Mayor,” said Ford.

Ford says expect severe fines for breaking social gathering rules, the highest in the country.

Meantime, the Ford government is launching a new online and interactive COVID-19 screening tool for parents before their children go to school. If you answer NO to all questions on this self assessment tool. you get a pass that can be downloaded and shown to school staff.

Education Minister Stephen Lecce says it’s just another step to improve the safety of our students.

“Parents, students and staff will be able to go to answer a few questions and get clear instruction on whether they should attend school that day or not,” said Lecce.
