I often get the inspiration for a ‘Vintage Favourites’ theme from the calendar, and sometimes the calendar gets crowded with more than one worthy concept. What to do? Well, I often have to choose one over the other – but sometimes, there’s a rare opportunity to combine two inspirations. This Sunday is one of those rare moments. With the Grammy Awards handed out Sunday night, and Valentine’s Day coming up next week, I thought it’d be nice to feature Grammy’s Greatest Love Songs. These are Grammy-winning Records or Songs of the Year that were also outstanding love songs. I’ll play award-winning love songs from the 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s – by superstars ranging from Sinatra and Streisand to The Beatles and Celine Dion.

I’ll also spotlight some of the most famous Canadians to win Grammy Awards over the decades during ‘Vintage Canadiana’ as well as continue my weekly feature on ‘the greatest groups of our time’ – in alphabetical order.
