Sometimes the birthday calendar is a bit sparse … and sometimes it’s a delightful smorgasbord. This is one of THOSE weeks ! No less than four hugely-popular, and diverse, Canadian artists have birthdays coming up this week. Our most recent inductee to Canada’s Music Hall of Fame – Jann Arden is one; bilingual balladeer Roch Voisine is another; so is long-time friend of Zoomer Radio John McDermott, and the late great guitar wizard Jeff Healey – who could rock with the best of them (and did), as well as explore his most favourite music genre – the songs of the 1920s and 30s. I’ll gladly share both sides of Healey’s gifts.
