Last Sunday we counted down the biggest-selling singles of all time, based on world-wide sales – and that was a lot of fun. This week, we’re looking at the all-time worldwide top-selling albums – and it’s another fascinating list. You might well guess – or perhaps you know – the #1 album on the list; it’s been talked about for many years, and it’s still top-ranked. But there will be several surprises on the list, in a wide variety of music genres.
I’ll also have birthday salutes to Gordon Lightfoot and Matt Dusk. And our look back at ‘This Week in Zoomer Music’ recalls the births of a legendary magazine, a classic song, and a relationship that rocked Beatles’ fans to the core … as well as the strange deaths of two members of the Allman Brothers, the unusual secret hobby of a superstar, and the only time a Grammy Award was rescinded.
It’s another great show, and I hope you’ll join me – this Sunday (Nov.15th).
