Last weekend our spotlight was on ‘Listeners’ Favourites‘ – in response to our 14th Anniversary Edition of ‘Vintage Favourites’ on March 14th. You’ll recall I played you my ‘Favourite Fourteen‘, and invited you to send me one or two of your all-time favourite songs, with a brief story or a reason why you love it. I received so many titles – with such wonderful stories – that I didn’t have enough time to get to them all last Sunday.
Therefore, this Sunday (April 11th) is ‘the sequel‘ – featuring ‘More Listeners’ Favourites‘. And again, the variety is impressive and makes for an afternoon of great listening, as we’ll go from a jazz legend to the Queen of Soul, a cowboy classic, ‘The Belfast Cowboy’ … and many others.
That feature starts right after the 3 o’clock news. The show starts after the 2 o’clock news with our usual first-hour feature – ‘This Week in Zoomer Music‘. Listen for historic recordings by Bill Haley & The Comets, The Rolling Stones and Garth Brooks, plus the 60th anniversary of Bob Dylan’s first live gig in New York City.
That’s all on a busy edition of ‘Vintage Favourites’.
