Today marks the late and great Marvin Gaye‘s birthday. Gaye was a consistant Motown hit-maker whose songs spoke of a myriad of topics from sexuality to politics. Gaye’s life was ended early when he was shot by his father on April 1, 1984 at the age of 44. Gaye’s musical legacy lives on and today we’ll celebrate it with his Top Ten songs from the Billboard charts.
