In celebration of Canada Day and the birth of our nation, we have rounded up the top ten artists who were born in Canada.

10. Gordon Lightfoot – “Sundown” (Orillia born- his biggest and only #1 hit in the U.S.

9. Jack Scott – “Burning Bridges” (Windsor born rock-a-billy artist of the late 50’s & early 60’s

8. The Diamonds – “Little Darlin'” (Toronto based group, covered lots of R&B songs in the 50’s)

7. Shania Twain – “You’re Still The One”(Eileen Edwards born in Windsor raised in Timmins)

6. The Four Lads – “No Not Much” (Toronto quartet started by backing Johnnie Ray)

5. The Guess Who – “These Eyes” (Winnipeggers went on to becoming Canada’s top band)

4. Anne Murray – “Snowbird” (Born in Sprinhill, Nova Scotia- “Snowbird” her first hit)

3. Celine Dion – “My Heart Will Go On” (born in Montreal suburb Charlemagne)
