Today (July 4th) is Independence Day in the US and in honour of this day we have rounded up the top ten songs that celebrate America, including songs from Ray Charles, Simon & Garfunkel, Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley

5. The House I Live In – Frank Sinatra (1945 hit peaked at #22 part of a 10 minute film, same title)

4. American Patrol – Glenn Miller (1942 hit version peaked at # 15 of 1885 song also done in 1901 by John Phillip Sousa)

3. America – Neil Diamond (1980 song from ” The Jazz Singer” film peaked at # 8)
