Hi, I’m Gene Stevens with a look ahead to my next ‘Vintage Favourites’.

This Sunday I’ll put the spotlight on ‘the vintage year – 1941’ … with the intensifying worldwide conflict – Germany opened a second front, invading the Soviet Union, and Japan’s attack on Pearl Harbour – ‘a day that lives in infamy’ !

It was also the year of Ted Williams and Joe DiMaggio’s epic hitting achievements in baseball … the year of Joe Louis and ‘The Maltese Falcon’; ‘Citizen Kane’ and ‘Sergeant York’ … and that ‘boogie woogie bugle boy’ helping us all deal with the daily ravages of war.

Plus: Toronto’s birthday and ‘International Women’s Day’ … it’s all on the next ‘Vintage Favourites’ this Sunday from 2:00 to 4:30 – on Zoomer Radio.
