Zoomer Radio listeners have shown their generosity once again!

Thanks to contributions from generous listeners, friends and family members, Team Jane Brown has raised $10,000 for the 2021 Bladder Cancer Walk for a 7-year total of $60,000!

Jane and family members walk in memory of Jane’s mom, Sandy, who died of bladder cancer on May 1, 2012.

Sandy Brown fought this disease for 3 tireless years, but passed away at the age of 68. She was far too young to go and had so much to live for, including 9 grandchildren.

Jane’s efforts, and those of her team mates, will help ensure other moms have a greater chance of survival!

In fact, there has been a significant and positive impact since the Bladder Cancer Awareness Walk began in ensuring that people catch bladder cancer early! Remember when you see red in your urine, see your doctor!

Bladder cancer is the fifth most deadly form of cancer to affect Canadians, and yet funding for bladder cancer research is also only a fraction of what other “more popular” cancers receive.  And that’s why the money raised form the Walk is so vital to support bladder cancer research and patient support.

Jane would also like to extend a big thank you to ZoomerMedia Ltd, for sponsoring her team for the annual Bladder Cancer Awareness Walk.
