Togo is a sweet boy with a lot of energy and intelligence. He has experienced a lot of changes in his life so far, so he’s looking forward to settling down in a home where his personality can flourish. As a result, he would thrive in a supportive household that is calm and stable so that he has the ability to relax when necessary.

Togo is very playful and affectionate and will definitely let you know that you’re his best friend. How? With endless kisses, of course! He is your stereotypical “big goofball” who just wants to be always close to you. His foster parents are helping him channel his energy through training and walks, as well as providing him with both quiet and play time so that he can express his loving personality in many ways.

Togo loves his crate, and he uses it as his own personal sanctuary for much needed rest and relaxation during his daily naptime routines. He’s a very attentive dog who really appreciates being spoken to as he just wants to connect with his humans on an emotional level.

Did we mention he loves his treats? This will come in handy during training sessions as Togo is very treat-motivated! He’s learned quite a few commands and walks well on leash due to his love for snacks. He would make the perfect companion for anyone who loves to hike or spend time outdoors.

Togo can sometimes display some fearful behaviour that can manifest in sensitivity to handling, jumpy and mouthy behaviours, and some hesitancy to meet new people. While Togo is still learning how to interact with humans and other dogs, he’ll be relying on his pet parents to show him the way. With a bit of patience, consistency, and careful observation of body language, Togo has been excelling in his training and hopes to find a family that is willing to keep up with his great work with positive reinforcement training. Having some experience with handling high energy dogs would be beneficial. With the right guidance, he will make a perfect companion to a dedicated leader.
