The Secret Service has moved out of Trump Tower.
The U.S. government agency respoinsible for the protection of the President at all times has pulled up stakes in the iconic Manhatten building that’s named after Donald Trump.
A spokesman for The Trump Organization, the umbrella company that manages Trump’s businesses says the Secret Service command post has moved out in order to find a permanent location that’s “more cost effective and logistically practical.”
The Secret Service says the new, temporary location out of Trump Tower hasn’t compromised security, but wouldn’t reveal its whereabouts.
President Trump hasn’t stayed in the Trump Tower residence since he moved into the White House where he was joined by his wife and young son at the end of the school year.
