The 2.5-billion-dollar Curiosity rover is bearing down on Mars.
And following what NASA calls seven minutes of terror as it plunges through the Martian atmosphere, it’s due to land on the red planet at 1:30 Eastern Time Monday morning.
The rover is carrying a Canadian-made Alpha Particle X-Ray Spectrometer, which will be used to help detect signs of life on Mars.
Viewing parties are planned across Canada. Many offering Martian Cocktails.
