(HEALTH-CMA-Report)
A new report from the Canadian Medical Association indicates a growing disparity between the health of low and higher income Canadians.
The Ipsos Reid survey asked people about their health.
Sixty-eight per cent of those making 60-thousand dollars or more a year rated their health as excellent or very good.
Only 39 per cent of those making 30-thousand or less said the same.
The 29 percentage point gap is 12 points higher than three years ago.
C-M-A president Dr. John Haggie says governments should be looking at every area of social policy and thinking about health.
