Staff at Banff National Park are working on an exhibit that will tell the story immigrants sent to internment camps during the First World War.

Between 1914 and 1920 the government sent nearly 86-hundred immigrants from eastern Europe to 24 camps across the country, including four in the Canadian Rockies.

Historic sites manager Steve Malins says the exhibit opening in June near the Cave and Basin National Historic Site in Banff will tell the story of the camps and the aftermath.
