The Harper government spent three quarters of-a-million dollars in legal fees fighting veterans over the clawback of military pensions.
M-P Sean Casey, the Liberal veterans critic, calls it an “obscene waste of taxpayers’ money.”
Defence Minister Peter MacKay ordered the clawback to end in July, but there are still some veterans who face the deduction.
