A B-C woman who revived the fight for doctor-assisted suicide has died unexpectedly in hospital.
The B-C Civil Liberties Association says 64-year-old Gloria Taylor died suddenly from a severe infection resulting from a perforated colon.
The West Kelowna woman suffered from A-L-S, and was the lead plaintiff in a case that led the B-C Supreme Court to strike down the federal laws against doctor-assisted suicide.
The federal government is appealing the ruling.
