U-S President Barack Obama says the nation’s “hearts are broken today.”

In his weekly radio and Internet address, the president spoke about yesterday’s massacre in Connecticut, where a gunman shot to death 26 people at the Sandy Hook Elementary School, including 20 children.

Obama said he and his wife, Michelle, are doing what every parent in America is doing — in his words: “holding our children as close as we can.”
