Christine Sinclair’s standout performance at the London Olympics raised the profile of women’s soccer in Canada.

It’s also won her the Bobbie Rosenfeld Award as The Canadian Press 2012 Female Athlete of the Year.

The 29-year old from Burnaby, B-C guided the national team to a bronze medal.

Sinclair had a hat trick in the heart-breaking 4-3 extra-time semifinal loss to the United States.

She scored an Olympic-record six goals.
