Toronto’s Deputy Mayor put his campaign to win a seat in the Ontario Legislature in high gear Saturday.
Doug Holyday will be trying to win the Etobicoke-Lakeshore riding byelection for the Conservatives on August 1st.
He opened his campaign headquarters Monday along with Tori Leader Tim Hudak.
Today his campaign got some support from the likes of Federal Finance Minister Jim Flaherty who said Holyday can bring some solid financial management to Queen’s Park.
Mayor Rob Ford and his brother, Councillor Doug Ford, were also out today knocking on doors for Holyday.
Holyday will be running against fellow councillor and Liberal candidate Peter Milczyn.
