After five years, Canadian singing superstar Celine Dion has finally received her medal that elevates her status within The Order Of Canada.
In 2008 Dion was named a Companion, the highest rank of The Order Of Canada, moving up from the rank of Member.
Yesterday she was presented with the medal at the Governor General’s residence in Quebec City, where, at the same time, her husband-manager Rene Angelil received a medal as a Member of the Order of Canada.
The Quebec-born star performs a concert Saturday night at the nearby Plains of Abraham battlefield.
