MALAYSIA TO SPEND 36 BILLION DOLLARS TO BUILD CANADIAN GAS PLANT

Prime Minister Stephen Harper is now in Bali, Indonesia for the APEC summit that begins tomorrow.

Before leaving Kuala Lampur the Prime Minister took part in the announcement that Petronas, Malaysia’s state-owned oil and gas company is investing 36 billion dollars in Canada.

Petronas is going to build a liquid natural gas plant in British Columbia, as well as a pipeline to feed it.

Malaysian Prime Minister Mohd Najib calls it a “significant, landmark decision”by Petronas.
