Two Canadian films are winners at this year’s Cannes Film Festival.
The film “Mommy” directed by Xavier Dolan was a winner of the Jury Prize. The 25 year-old Dolan, from Montreal, is the youngest director at this year’s festiveal. He shares the Jury Prize with the oldest, 83 year-old french filmmaker Jean-Luc Godard, who won for his film “Goodbye To Language.”
Julianne Moore won the best actress award for her role in the Hollywood satire “Maps To The Stars,” a film directed by Toronto’s David Cronenberg.
