Paris, France has named a flower market in honour of Queen Elizabeth II.
The 88 year-old Queen visited the Marche aux Fleurs Saturday and watched the tribute to her as it was renamed “Marche aux Fleurs Reine Elizabeth II”. The market is over 200 years old.
The Mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, spoke of the enormous affection Parisians have for the Queen.
Because the Queen and her husband, Prince Philip, who is 92, have reduced their travel schedule, there is speculation that her state visit for the 70th anniversary of D-Day yesterday may be her last trip to France.
