A Broadway musical about the famed Cotton Club nightclub in New York City will soon be closing.

The final performance of “After Midnight”  celebrating the Harlem Landmark will be on June 29th.

The production focused on the Duke Ellington years at the club, and had over 20  musical numbers ..

Among different stars who performed in the show were Toni Braxton, Vanessa Williams and Canada’s own k.d. lang.

It was only a modest success at the box office, and won just one of the seven Tony Awards it had been nominated for.
