WESTERN LEADERS OUTRAGED AT MISSILE ATTACK ON MALAYSIAN AIRLINER

Reaction has been swift and strong from leaders in the west to the crash Thursday of a Malaysia Airlines Boeing 7-77 in eastern Ukraine.

Prime Minister Stephen Harper calls it an outrageous act, and says Canada will help in any way it can in order to find the cause.

A Canadian was one of the 289 people aboard the aircraft when it was shot down by a surface to air missile. 

Ukraine is accusing Russian separatists of being responsible.  Russian President Vladimir Putin accuses Ukraine of shooting down the aircraft, and has called for all parties in the eastern Ukraine conflict to  lay down their arms.

Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott was upset at Putin pointing a finger at Ukraine, and said the Russian leader`s resonse was `deeply, deeply, unsatisfactory“.

U.S. President Barack Obama called it horrifying.

British Prime Minister David Cameron says it was an appalling, shocking and horific incident.
