Toronto’s new streetcars are now in service.
The official launch of the the new TTC streetcars on the 510 Spadina line took place Sunday morning.
It’s the first route to have the new cars.
About 200 new units will be put into service by 2019 on the city’s full streetcar system.
The new cars will offer a smoother ride, and they’re air-conditioned as well.
They’re also fully accessible, have all-door boarding, a proof-of-payment system, and on-board fare vending machines as well as ticket validating machines.
