Singer Elton John and and his longtime partner David Furnish of Toronto were married Sunday, nine years after entering into a civil partnership.

New laws that took effect earlier in the year in England allowed the couple to marry.

The ceremony took place at their estate not far from Windsor Castle near London, with an A-list of guests joining them for the celebration. 

The couple have two sons; four-year old Zachary Jackson Levon, and Elijah Joseph Daniel who will be two in January.
