Academy Award nominee Bradley Cooper is swapping Broadway for London’s West End.

Producers will be taking the hit play “The Elephant Man” to the stage in London this May.

The 40 year old Cooper recently won praise for his performance as John Merrick in the Broadway run of the classic, in which he did not use prosthetics.

Cooper portrayed the role of the disfigured but indomitable man by contorting his face and body to convey the physical deformities of Merrick.

The UK run of the play will be May 9th through August 8th, while the close of the Broadway run will be the day before the Academy Awards on February 21st.
