The RCMP in Halifax say they’ve foiled what could have been a Valentines Day massacre.

According to police, a 19 year-old man found dead in a Halifax apartment Friday was going to go to a public place in Halifax with a 23 year-old woman from Illinois, and the two were going to open fire before killing themselves.

There’s an unconfirmed report that the location was to be a shopping mall.

The woman and two other suspects, males age 17 and 20, were taken into custody.  The 17 year old has been released without charges.

Police say there’s no evidence they were motivated by terrorism
