Ontario Education Minister Liz Sandals will unveil the province’s new sex education curriculum on Monday.

It’s the first update to the curriculum since 1998.

An email was sent to Toronto District School Board Trustees, telling them the revised health and  physical education curriculum for grades 1 to 12 will be released by the Ministry of Education on Monday, February 12th.

A previous attempt to update the curriculum was abandoned by the Liberal government five years ago because of protests by some parent and religious groups.

Sandals says this time around the curriculum won’t be changed after it’s introduced, because parents were consulted.

The Tories say only a very small number of parents were involved in the consultations.
