Irish voters have said “Yes.”
Ireland has become the first country to legalize same-sex marrige by a popular vote.
It appears the “Yes” side will win with more than 60 percent of the vote in the predominantly Catholic country.
“No” supporters say the yes side won with a campaign that took full odvantage of social media to get their message out to younger voters. Many of them voted for the first time ever in the referendum.
