Prime Minister Stephen Harper arrived in Kyiv late Friday night just as violence erupted once again in Ukraine’s eastern region.
Harper was 600 kilometres away from the airport and railway station in the city of Donetsk where 80 explosions were heard.
The region is supposed to be under a ceasefire.
The Prime Minister is in Kyiv ahead of the G7 Summit which will take place in the Bavarian alpine town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany.
