We`ve been very lucky in the weather department this fall and eariy winter in the GTA, but we’re in for a bit of a jolt.
A huge weather system moving up from Texas will begin to affect Southern Ontario tonight.
Environment Canada cancelled a storm watch for the region, but says their special weather statement is still in effect.
We can expect snow mixed with ice pellets tonight, with 5 to 10 centimetres accumulation in some areas before it changes to rain.
It will be the first significant snowfall of the season for the Greater Toronto Area.
