It looks like Chris Rock is even more anxious than ever to host the Oscars, in spite of criticism over the all-white roster of acting nominations.
Academy Awards producer Reginal Hudlin says even though some black actors have said they won’t attend the awards, Rock has thrown out the original draft of his script and has been busy re-writing his material.
Hudlin says Rock will likely have fun with the OscarsSoWhite hashtag, and says it’ll be welcome by the Academy.
When the Oscar nominations were announced January 14th, it was the second year in a row with all-white nominees for acting awards.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced on Friday that it’s putting into place sweeping changes that would lead to doubling its minority and female members by the year 2020.
