The co-founder of The Eagles has confirmed that the band is finished.

Don Henley says their tribute at the Grammys following the death of Glen Frey was a final farewell, and what he called “an appropriate farewell.”

Henley and Frey formed the iconic classic rock band in the early seventies along with original members Bernie Leadon and Randy Meisner.

Later members included Joe Walsh, Don Felder and Timothy B. Schmidt.

Frey died in January at the age of 67 as a result of complications from rheumatoid arthritis, acute ulcerative colitis and pneumonia.
