Good Friday, one of the holiest days in the Christian calendar, was commemorated around the world with Christians attending special church services.
In Jeruaslem’s Old City, Catholics and Protestants took part in processions along the Way of the Cross, or Via Dolorosa. It’s the route believed to be the one Jesus walked on the way to his crucifixion.
The last stations in the walk are in the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, on the site where Christians believe Jesus was cruicified and buried before his resurrection on Easter Sunday.
