It was October of 2014 when Kevin Vickers – then Sergeant at Arms in Ottawa – was hailed a hero for taking down terrorist Michael Zehaf Bibeau in the halls of Parliament.
Today, now Canadian Ambassador to Ireland, Vickers was the first to respond to a protestor during a ceremony in Dublin.
The man in his 40’s, wearing an Easter Rising t-shirt, began yelling at officials at Grangegorman Military Cemetary during a ceremony to commemorate the British that died during the Easter Rising of 1916.
Kevin Vickers grabbed the man and allegedly tackled him to the ground before escorting him from the premises.

The protester was later arrested by local police.
A spokesperson for Vickers told reporters they would not be commenting on the matter.
