Talk about a far out job!
Canada needs two very special people to be a part of our space program. And there’s a three-million dollar recruitmant program taking place to find the right people with the right stuff.
Canada’s role in the ISS — or International Space Station — program has been extended until 2024.
Those wishing to be a part of it have until August 15th of this year to apply for one of the two potential astronaut openings. The results will be announced next summer.
In the meantime, three astronauts from the ISS returned to earth in a Russian Soyuz capsule overnight Friday and early Saturday when they touched down in Kazakhstan.
One of them, Tim Peake of Britain, says he was elated to return, and said “the smells of earth are just so strong.”
