A new report from the National Institute on Retirement Security shows that women are more likely to face poverty in retirement than men.
Researchers say women are 80% more likey to be impoverished over the age of 65 than their male counterparts.
The study says there are many reasons for these results, including the pay gap between men and women.
According to the US Census Bureau, over a 40 year career the pay gap adds up to an average of more than $430,000.
